Lincoln man sees stranger run into home, children were inside

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Thursday, around 4:00 p.m., Lincoln Police were called to the 800 block of S. 9th Street on a weapons call. A 31-year-old woman reported being woken up to a banging on her door, but initially ignored it. When the noise continued, the caller looked outside to see two women breaking windows on a neighboring apartment, attempting to enter the building. She claimed to know the women, as they had a dispute with her uncle, identifying them as 41-year-old Angela Oswald and 26-year-old Ashley Laravie.
When officers initially arrived on scene, they spotted two women matching the description given running in the area. They chased the suspects down, yelling for them to stop. Officers eventually caught up with Oswald in a front yard on the 800 block of G Street. Oswald did resist arrest, but officers were able to place her in custody.
At this time, Laravie was forced out of a home located on the same block. The homeowner later explained that during the pursuit, Laravie- who he did not know- fled into his residence. He quickly ran after her, as his children were inside, and removed her from his home through a side door.
Oswald was arrested for Failure to Comply, Injure or Destroy Property, and Disturbing the Peace. While Laravie was arrested for Failure to Comply, Injure or Destroy Property, Disturbing the Peace, and Trespassing.
