Storm chances on and off for the rest of the week
Scattered showers and storms will be possible each day this week. There is a chance for severe storms Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures eventually cool off by the middle of the week.

There is a level 2 “Slight Risk” for severe storms in eastern Nebraska with a level 1 “Marginal Risk” on the outer edges.
The tornado risk is from 2-5% for eastern Nebraska.
Large hail in excess of 2″ is possible for those in the yellow shaded area.
Damaging wind is also possible with those in the yellow shaded area potentially seeing wind gusts in excess of 75 mph.
A recent short range model has storms in and around Lincoln and Omaha around 4-5pm Tuesday afternoon.
After Tuesday, we have another chance for severe storms on Wednesday and possibly Thursday, as well.
