Woman snuck contraband into Nebraska prison in her underwear, court docs say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln woman hid contraband in her underwear to smuggle it into prison, court documents say.
Tiara Thompson, 29, posted bail Tuesday after being arrested on suspicion of unlawful acts regarding an inmate.
On Friday morning, Thompson put four small bundles of paper in her underwear near her buttocks, court records allege.
She then went to the Nebraska State Penitentiary to visit an inmate, an arrest affidavit says.
Surveillance video captured the inmate reaching into the back of Thompson’s pants, pulling out the items and swallowing them, according to the affidavit.
Investigators think another woman gave Thompson the papers to give to the inmate.
It’s not clear what the contraband was.
But court documents say Thompson sprayed the papers with nail polish remover and Raid bug killer, which is sometimes used as a drug.
