Lincoln East football game vs. Elkhorn South moves to earlier time

LINCOLN, Neb. (LPS Athletics) – Lincoln East High School announced Wednesday that the game against Elkhorn South will be moved up to 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Seacrest Field.
The decision was made out of an abundance of caution because of forecast thunderstorms so the season opener can be played while ensuring everyone’s safety.
“Nebraska weather can change in an instant, and we have emergency action plans in place to help keep our student-athletes, coaches, officials and fans safe,” East Athletics and Activities Director Zach Limbach said. “Moving the game earlier will hopefully allow us to get the exciting first game played without weather delays. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding.”
