LPD: Man, two dogs shot on Christmas

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — One man and two dogs were shot on Christmas day, reports Lincoln Police.
Officers responded to a residence on the 2800 block of N. 3rd Street, just after 12:30 p.m., after a neighbor called in the shooting.
Once on scene, police found the 39-year-old victim in his residence, with two gunshot wounds in his abdomen. Two pets had also been hit, but are recovering.
The victim said two parties forced their way into his home before they started yelling and firing multiple rounds inside.
He was taken to a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation into the shooting is still ongoing.
