Central Nebraska man sentenced to life in prison for wife’s murder

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A central Nebraska man will spend the rest of his life in prison for killing his wife.

Jeffrey Adams, 49, was sentenced Thursday in Hamilton County District Court.

On Feb. 26, 2023, his wife, Angela Adams was found dead at their Marquette home.

Court documents say she had two cuts on her face and other injuries.

Jeffrey Adams told police that he got in a fight with Angela the night before after some heavy drinking.

He punched her twice in the head, knocking her to the floor, police said.

Adams then left her for dead as she bled out, according to court documents.

He was convicted of first-degree murder in June after a seven-day trial.
