Man caught with $135 of products from south Lincoln vape shop, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln man was arrested early Monday morning after police say he was caught stealing from a south Lincoln vape shop.
Just after 1 a.m., officers were sent to Grateful Green near 56th Street and Nebraska Parkway, where an alarm went off.
When police arrived, they found pry marks on the door and a cut wire on the exterior electrical box, causing $350 in damage, LPD said.
Investigators with the Lincoln Police Department said $135 worth of products were missing from the store.
Officers later found 35-year-old Corey Schneider near two other vape shops in the area of 33rd Street and Pioneers Boulevard.
Schneider was wearing all black with a mask and backpack, according to LPD.
He refused to stop for police and started to ride away on a bike, officials said.
After they arrested him, officers searched his backpack and found the missing products from Grateful Green, along with tools that matched the damage to the business.
Schneider was lodged in the Lancaster County Jail on suspicion of burglary, possession of burglar’s tools, obstructing a peace officer and resisting arrest.
