Mild weekend, rain and snow early next week
A DENSE FOG ADVISORY is in place for parts of Nebraska through 10:00am Saturday.
We are in store for a very mild weekend. High temperatures will be almost 20 degrees above average!
We are just about done with the fog, too. After some patchy lingering fog early Saturday, we should see the sun again Saturday afternoon.
Highs across the state on Saturday look warm from one side to the other. That’s a lot of 50s for late December!
For the Huskers game in NYC Saturday, it’ll be cooler than here with some light rain during the game.
After the weekend, we may see some rain trying to change to snow Monday into very early Tuesday. See our StormCast model below for timing and duration.
Recent weather models have Lincoln seeing around a half inch or so. Won’t be much, but it could be the first measurable snow since Jan 18, 2024!
After the snow chance on Monday, we cool off quite a bit. The first week of 2025 will be at or below average for highs.
