Winter Storm Watch through the weekend
A WINTER STORM WATCH is in place for Saturday into Sunday for south central and SE Nebraska.
This watch is an early “heads up” that a winter storm is looking likely and the location it’s most likely to impact. It will eventually change to either a Winter Storm Warning or a Winter Weather Advisory. It may also expand further north and west in next day or so if future forecast see any changes in where the storm will go. See a couple of images down for the potential snow totals!
Snow will start up as early as Friday in north central Nebraska, but minor accumulations are likely. See below for the timing and location of that below:
A half an inch to an inch and a half possible from that early round on Friday.
Then, round two comes our way. See below for what our StormCast weather model is saying for timing, duration, and location.
Highest snowfall amounts will be close to the Nebraska Kansas border but significant snow is possible for much of SE Nebraska.
After the snow comes to an end Sunday morning, it gets cold for several days!
