Lincoln Stars win big, score double digits for the first time in 20 years

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Stars are winners of two straight, clinching a sweep over the USA Hockey National Developmental program Saturday night.
Lincoln recorded a season high in goals, winning 11-2. A bulk of their offense came early, totaling 8 goals in the first period.
It’s only the seventh time in Stars history they’ve reached double digits, the first since Feb 5 2005 where they defeated Sioux Falls 11-3.
Three players each recorded two goals, including Michael Sandruck who was named top dog of the game by the team.
The Stars outscored the USA Hockey National Developmental program 19-4 in their two game series, and improve to 21-12-1 on the year.
Lincoln will face off against the Muskegon Lumberjacks next Friday at the Ice Box Arena.
