‘Our heart hurts’: Muchachos donating portion of profits in honor of Jack Hoffman

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln restaurant is helping honor the life of Husker fan Jack Hoffman with a fundraiser on Thursday.
In a post on social media, Muchcahos said it’s “Team Jack Day” at the restaurant near 11th and L streets.
Hoffman, 19, died Wednesday morning after a battle with brain cancer. He is most known for his relationship with former Husker Rex Burkhead and a momentous 69-yard touchdown run during the Huskers’ spring game in 2013.

In honor of Hoffman, Muchcahos is donating a portion of its profits to the Team Jack Foundation, a nonprofit helping fight pediatric brain cancer.
“Our heart hurts for the Hoffman family and all of the people who love, have been inspired by, our work for Team Jack,” the restaurant said.
Muchcahos is open until 8 p.m. The restaurant asks people to head over to Team Jack’s website to donate if they can’t make it in.
“So come and sit at our table. Let us do what we do best by serving you. And let’s help put an end to childhood cancer,” the restaurant said.
I have no better way to show my love to @TeamJack than using sales of a place I love to help end the fight against childhood cancer. So today at Muchachos, it’s Team Jack Day. Let us serve you. Come to our table. And let’s do some good together! pic.twitter.com/upFsPXrU1F
