‘Bald Head’ sent to district court: Case advances against man in Lincoln fentanyl overdose

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man pleaded not guilty Monday in connection with a fentanyl overdose.
Martine Williams, 43, waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Lancaster County Court, and a judge sent the case to district court.
He is charged with delivery of an exceptionally hazardous drug.
The overdose happened April 6 at an apartment near 50th Street and Pioneers Boulevard, according to court documents.
First responders found a 27-year-old man whose face was turning purple, police said.
They gave him Narcan, and he later recovered at a hospital.
Police said the victim bought 13 pills from a dealer nicknamed “Bald Head” or “Bal Head.”
He thought they were Percocet, but they turned out to be fentanyl, according to an arrest affidavit.
The affidavit says investigators used social media and cellphone data to identify Williams as “Bald Head.”
Williams is set to be arraigned in Lancaster County District Court on March 5.
