Grand jury charges Lincoln man in Omaha bank robbery

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man was indicted this week in a bank robbery in Omaha.
Sherman Wade, 44, is charged with one count of bank robbery and one count of use of a firearm in a violent crime.
The acting U.S. attorney in Nebraska, Matthew Molsen, announced the grand jury indictment on Thursday.
Wade is accused of stealing from a U.S. Bank on July 3.
The indictment alleges that he and an accomplice assaulted bank employees and held one of them at gunpoint.
The other person is not named in the document, but it says they are “known to the Grand Jury.”
If convicted, Wade faces 25 years to life in prison and a $250,000 fine.
