LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man accused of driving the getaway car in a shooting at a Lincoln gas station pleaded not guilty Wednesday.

Bradley Dennis, 21, waived his preliminary hearing in Lancaster County Court, and the judge sent the case to district court.

Dennis faces six felonies, including second-degree assault and multiple weapon violations, in a shooting at 33rd and Holdrege streets on Sept. 7.

Court documents say Dennis drove to the location and 19-year-old Dreyce Bogan got out of the car and fired a rifle toward the Kwik Shop across the street.

A woman was shot in the back three times. She told Channel 8 that “it is a miracle” she survived.

Police said they found 17 bullet casings at the scene.

After the shooting, an arrest affidavit says Bogan ran through an alley before Dennis picked him up in the car.

The pair were arrested in Georgia in September.

Dennis will be arraigned in Lancaster County District Court on April 9.

Bogan’s preliminary hearing in county court is scheduled for April 16.
