Man gets federal prison for dealing meth in rural Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — An eastern Nebraska man was sentenced Thursday for selling meth.

Daniel Brewer, 58, of rural Polk County got 14 years in federal prison for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

On July 27, 2023, a confidential informant bought 28 grams of meth from Brewer at his home, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Later that day, officers searched the home and found about 875 grams of meth. That’s almost 2 pounds.

Authorities said they also found scales, packaging and live ammunition.

After prison, Brewer will spend five years on supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
