Nebraska baseball snaps two-game losing streak, takes down Rutgers at home

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska baseball team bounced back in a big way Friday night, beating Rutgers 8-5 at Haymarket Park.

The win snaps a two-game losing streak after the Big Red took consecutive losses to in-state rivals Creighton and Omaha.

Dylan Carey led the team in RBIs with three, going 2-for-3 on the night.

Will Walsh picked up the win, going five innings and striking out two.

First pitch for the second game of the series is set for Saturday at 2 p.m.
