No. 18 Nebraska softball stumps Indiana in front of record-breaking crowd

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The No. 18-ranked Nebraska softball team bounced back in a big way Saturday, beating Indiana 12-4 in five innings at Bowlin Stadium.
After dropping game one 6-2 on Friday, the Huskers punched back with 13 total hits and errorless defense. The Hoosiers tallied seven hits and committed two errors.
Husker Nation also stepped up to the plate Saturday, setting a new single-game attendance record at Bowlin Stadium with 2,699 fans in attendance.

Kacie Hoffman led the Huskers with a 3-for-3 showing from the plate, racking up one RBI. Samantha Bland went 2-for-3 with four RBIs, while Ava Kuszak also went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Kylee Magee (6-3) got the win for the Huskers, pitching four innings while giving up four runs on five hits and fanning five batters.
Jordyn Bahl pitched one inning, striking out two batters and allowing two hits.
The Hoosiers were paced by Avery Parker with a 1-for-2 showing from the plate and three RBIs. Taylor Minnick also blasted the lone home run of the game.
Nebraska will hit the road to take on Washington for a three-game series in Seattle.
First pitch for game one is set for Friday at 8 p.m.
