LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln man will spend over four years behind bars for selling a gun to a minor in 2023, the U.S. Attorney’s Office says.

Camarion Almond, 21, was sentenced Thursday to four years and nine months in federal prison for unlawful disposition of a firearm.

In 2023, a series of crimes, including a homicide, were linked to guns purchased by Clifton Davis, according to the attorney’s office.

During an investigation led by the Lincoln Police Department, officers discovered Davis had given “multiple” guns to Almond.

On Feb. 17, 2023, Almond called Davis after a friend, a minor at the time, inquired about purchasing some firearms, the attorney’s office said.

The next day, Almond told his friend that guns were available, and the two discussed a price, according to authorities.

In additional messages, others reached out through Almond to see if Davis had any guns to sell.

There is no parole in the federal system.  After Almond’s release from prison, he will serve a three-year term of supervised release.

In June, Davis was sentenced to 16 months in federal prison for his role in the case.
