LPD: Man assaulted during attempted robbery on MoPac Trail in east Lincoln
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was attacked Tuesday night while walking on the MoPac Trail in east Lincoln, police say.
Around 10:10 p.m., a 50-year-old man was on the trail near North 70th and P streets when three men approached him.
The trio demanded the man’s wallet, according to police.
LPD said the victim used pepper spray on one of the men before he was knocked down to the ground.
The men kicked him while he was on the ground. The group eventually left without the man’s wallet.
The victim took himself to the hospital, where he was treated for a dislocated elbow, police said.
