10 positions eliminated at UNL service center due to ‘government funding cuts’
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A service center at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is reducing staff due to a cut in government funding.
In a statement Friday, university officials announced that the Bureau of Sociological Research eliminated ten positions amid “government funding cuts.”
BOSR, a “one-stop survey research shop,” relies on grants and contracts to fund its operations and staff, according to the university.
The service center employs 98 people across full-time, part-time, on-call and student worker positions.
BOSR conducts national, regional and local surveys for several clients using a “variety of data collection methods,” the university said.
