The “Waltdogs” walk off Winnipeg on Disney night
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Once a year the Lincoln Saltdogs become the the “Waltdogs” in honor of Walt Disney.
It’s a night more than baseball that features a $10,000 giveaway trip to Orlando, Florida, two Lincoln staycation giveaways and more.
The game took place on Travel & Tourism Night with a host of local booths up around the ball park.
The crowd was filled with fans wearing their favorite Disney gear, “Waltdogs” themed swag and of course some Saltdogs apparel as well.

While the focus Friday had been more toward the festivities, the magic was also on the field as Lincoln brought home the win in walk-off fashion, beating Winnipeg 6-5 in 11 innings.
Outfielder Neyfy Castillo hit a sacrifice fly to center field to bring in the game winning run from third base.

The Saltdogs will be back on the diamond Saturday night at 6:05 p.m.
