Vehicle rolls, driver runs after two-vehicle crash in central Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A two-vehicle crash in central Lincoln on Sunday caused one vehicle to rollover.
Just after 5 p.m., several first responders were sent to the intersection of 12th and New Hampshire streets.
According to the Lincoln Police Department, a gray 2012 Honda Civic and 2012 Ford Escape crashed in the intersection, causing one of the cars rollover in the front lawn of a home.
Investigators said the Escape failed to stop at a stop sign while driving north on 12th Street, colliding with the Civic which was driving west on New Hampshire.
When police arrived, the male driver of the Escape had exited the vehicle and gotten into an orange Infiniti FX35 with in-transit papers, leaving the scene.
The driver of the Civic, a 31-year-old male, and a 42-year-old male passenger were uninjured.
According to the police department, the driver was cited for no valid driver’s license and no proof of insurance.
The driver of the Escape is unknown at this time and has not been located.
