Search underway for Nebraska man missing in Colorado national park

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Park rangers are searching for an Omaha man who went missing last week in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado.

In a press release Tuesday, officials said 23-year-old Blake Kieckhafer was last seen in the Upper Beaver Meadows area of the park on Aug. 7 around 5:20 p.m.

He was dropped off by a ride-share service, according to officials.  Family members reported Kieckhafer missing on Monday.

Kieckhafer was last seen wearing a dark-colored T-shirt, dark-colored pants and a dark-colored baseball cap with no logo.

He was also carrying a small, maroon daypack.

Officials said Kieckhafter is 5-foot-11, 180 pounds, with short blonde hair, a mustache and blue/green eyes.
