Kearney man accused of fleeing traffic stop ‘WITHOUT SAYING GOODBYE’

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Authorities in central Nebraska are looking for a Kearney man who fled from a traffic stop.

In a post on Facebook on Friday, the Merrick County Sheriff’s Office said Keagan Morrison was pulled over by a deputy the night before.

He had been driving about 100 mph in his work truck, according to the sheriff’s office.

Morrison fled during the stop, authorities said, but they decided not to chase him because he left his driver’s license and registration with the deputy.

“WE ARE SADDENED YOU LEFT SO SOON LAST NIGHT WITHOUT SAYING GOODBYE!!” the sheriff’s office said on Facebook.

Deputies said Morrison declined a chance to turn himself in Friday morning, which they called “another bad choice.”

“Lesson to be learned: Make good choices Keagan!” the sheriff’s office wrote. “We hope to see you soon!!”
