A chilly and rainy Labor Day
A cloudy and cool Labor Day ahead! Morning temperatures in the lower 60s with areas of dense fog across the state. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely through the morning and early afternoon in eastern Nebraska. By evening, rain will taper off and a few breaks of sunshine could sneak in before sunset.
The best chance for steady and moderate rainfall will be between 4am-3pm. Localized flooding will be likely especially with the strongest showers and thunderstorms. The periodic rain and thunderstorms will stay east of North Platte through Monday evening. Rain totals north and south of Lincoln could range from 0.50″- 1.50″+.
If you are traveling early Monday morning, there will be dense precipitation fog across much of the state! Make sure to turn on headlights and leave space between you and the person ahead. Dense fog advisories will likely be issued Monday morning.

Labor Day will feel chilly with highs in the low to upper 60s, but sunshine and warmer temps return starting Tuesday!
Temperatures stay below average late this week as a strong front moves in midweek. Overnight lows will dip into the low to mid-40s Wednesday and Thursday night
Cloudy and rainy Labor Day. Sun will come out Tuesday which will warm us up into the 70s! The tail end of a LOW will bring some scattered storm chances Wednesday evening across eastern Nebraska. Temperatures will remain in the low to mid 70s all through next weekend. We could be seeing another front late next weekend, bringing rain and storm chances across the state. Official Fall starts Monday and it sure feels like it!
