Morning storms possible early this week, then a snap back to summer
Summer will have another crack at us toward the end of this week. Before then, there are morning chances at spotty thunderstorms across southeast Nebraska Monday and Tuesday.
Monday will remain mostly cloudy after these morning storm chances. Today will be our last day of this false fall, only warming to the 70s with more wind. Then, we’ll see a lot more 80s the rest of this week.
South wind gusts heading into Monday afternoon will be higher, expected to approach 30-35 mph at times.
Highs will be cooler than average in the middle and upper 70s for many.
Similar to this morning, late Monday night into early Tuesday there will be more scattered storms possible across southeast Nebraska.
Winds will decrease through the day as will the cloud cover after storms in the morning, making for warmer conditions.
Potential rainfall amounts may end up being around a couple tenths to a half an inch for those that see thunderstorms through Tuesday morning.
We look to snap back to summer the rest of this week.
Temperatures by Friday will warm to about 90° with more humidity.
We’ll be flirting with muggy conditions the rest of this week beyond Monday.
