LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln restaurant donated thousands of dollars to the Capital Humane Society last week, the shelter announced on Sunday.

MōMō Pizzeria & Ristorante near 84th Street and Pioneers Boulevard held a fundraiser for the shelter, aptly titled “Pooches on the Patio,” on Sept. 28.

In an update, the Capital Humane Society said the event helped raise $16,500 for the shelter.

“We greatly appreciate all of the hours they put into planning and executing this extensive event,” the shelter said in a Facebook post.

The dog-friendly event featured live music, raffle prizes, food and beer.

The Capital Humane Society said “hundreds” of pets will benefit from the gift.
