Husker head coach Dani Busboom Kelly joins LOVB Nebraska as official ambassador
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — League One Volleyball on Friday announced that Nebraska head coach Dani Busboom Kelly officially joined LOVB Nebraska as an ambassador.
In her role as ambassador, Busboom Kelly will support LOVB Nebraska’s mission through community engagement, athlete development initiatives, and efforts to strengthen the state’s rapidly growing volleyball ecosystem.

“Volleyball has always been at the heart of Nebraska, and I am incredibly honored to support LOVB Nebraska as they continue building something special here,” Busboom Kelly said in a press release. “This is a community that shaped me, inspired me, and believed in the power of this sport long before the rest of the country caught up. Being able to pour back into the next generation, while helping grow professional volleyball in my home state, is something I’m truly grateful for.”
With this partnership, LOVB Nebraska said it will deepen the connection between the sport’s most passionate fans and the next generation of players.
LOVB Nebraska said it’s dedicated to building a long-term, athlete-focused structure that includes youth clubs, local events, community programming, and an elite professional team.
Assing Busboom Kelly “amplifies that vision and reinforces Nebraska’s standing as a national epicenter for the sport.”

LOVB Nebraska will play its home-opener at the Baxter Arena in Omaha on Jan. 11, 2026, against LOVB Houston.
Busboom Kelly will make a special appearance at this game, solidifying her new role as an ambassador for LOVB Nebraska.
