Nebraska basketball’s Braden Frager named Big Ten Freshman of the Week
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Big Ten Conference on Monday honored Nebraska basketball’s Braden Frager as the Big Ten Freshman of the Week.
Frager averaged 18 points and seven rebounds per game while shooting 72% from the floor — including 55% from deep — while leading the Huskers to a Hall of Fame Classic title.

The Lincoln Southwest product was named MVP of the tournament, helping Nebraska jump out to a 6-0 start this season.

In the championship game against Kansas State, Frager tallied 16 points and six rebounds in 20 minutes off the bench.
He posted his second 20-point game of the season in the first-round win over New Mexico, finishing with 20 points on 6-for-8 shooting — including 4-for-6 from deep — and grabbed a season-high eight boards.

Frager is the first Husker freshman to earn the weekly award since Jamarques Lawrence in 2023.
Nebraska will return to the court Tuesday night to take on Winthrop at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
