Lincoln drug dealer gets three decades in federal prison

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln drug dealer was sentenced to 30 years in prison on Thursday.
Jamaal McNeil, 48, was convicted of possession with intent to deliver 50 grams of methamphetamine, with one prior conviction for a serious drug felony.
After he is released from prison, McNeil will serve a 10-year term of supervised release.
McNeil was responsible for selling meth, cocaine and marijuana in Lincoln for at least six months in 2023.
In November 2023, officers with the Lincoln Police Department pulled McNeil over and searched his car due to the smell of marijuana.
Investigators found 15 plastic baggies in the car. Six of them had cocaine, six had methamphetamine and three contained marijuana.
Authorities also found four hydrocodone pills. McNeil was arrested, and officers found $853 in his pocket.
Investigators searched McNeil’s home and found 180 grams of methamphetamine, 212 grams of a substance containing methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana, as well as digital scales and $2,495 in U.S. currency.
McNeil was convicted in 2007 in the Nebraska federal court in Omaha for possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
