LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The No. 9-ranked Nebraska men’s basketball team fell to Iowa on Tuesday night, losing to the Hawkeyes 57-52 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

The Huskers struggled from deep, shooting 21% from beyond the arc and 41% from the floor. The Hawkeyes shot 33% from the floor and 26% from deep.

Nebraska was also severely out-rebounded 37-24 and 12-2 on the offensive glass.

In his return to Iowa City, Pryce Sandfort led the Huskers with 13 points on 3 of 7 shooting. Jamarques Lawrence was right behind him with 11 points.

Sandfort and Lawrence were the only two Huskers in double digits.

Rienk Mast led Nebraska on the glass with eight rebounds, while Sam Hoiberg racked up a team-high five assists.

Bennett Stirtz paced Iowa with 25 points, while Cooper Koch tallied 10 points.

NU will look to bounce back against Penn State on Saturday at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
