Warming back up this week
After a chilly start to the week, the temperatures are on the way back up as we head through the week.
For Tuesday, highs will be in the 60s, 70s, and close to 80 degrees across the state. Warmer than average!
The warmest day of the week will be Wednesday when highs will be very close to 90 degrees. We may see a few record highs!
With the added heat, there is a Fire Weather Watch for Wednesday. Before that, there is a Red Flag Warning in place through Monday evening.
The next chance for rain is a small one and it comes our way Thursday. Most of us will miss out.
The rain for us on Thursday will be attached to a severe weather risk well to our east. It’s close enough that we may see a thunderstorm out of it, but the higher severe risk is well east of us.
Speaking of severe weather, it is Severe Weather Awareness Week and for more information on Lightning Safety, click HERE.
We do cool back down by Friday and into the weekend, but the 70s come back Sunday into next week.
