Rain through Thursday morning
Rain and cooler temperatures are here for the first few days of April. It won’t rain the whole time, but it’s the first best chance we’ve had in a while.
Showers and storms are likely as we head through Wednesday night into early Thursday. Significant rain is possible for some!
Our StormCast weather model (above) is showing the rain sticks around through the first half of Thursday. The next chance for rain comes our way on Friday.
As a frontal boundary moves through Friday afternoon, a few strong storms will be possible in far eastern Nebraska. The better chance will be into Iowa and northern Missouri.
Before we get to Friday, Thursday will be a little cool to the north and much warmer to the southwest.
The average high is around 60 for early April and we’ll be close to that through early next week, except for a chilly day on Saturday. We do get another chance for rain early next week, as well.
