Motorcyclist critically injured in crash near UNL’s city campus

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Police Department is investigating a serious car accident near the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s city campus.

LPD said a motorcyclist involved in the crash is in critical condition at a local hospital.

It happened at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Thursday at the intersection of N. 17th St. and Antelope Valley Parkway.

LPD said a motorcyclist ran a red light while traveling north on Antelope Valley Parkway, hitting a sedan driving west on N. 17th St.

The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital and is deemed in critical condition. LPD said the driver of the sedan suffered minor injuries.

The crash is underway investigation.
