Authorities update investigation into threatening TikTok videos made toward Centennial Public Schools

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Seward County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday provided an update on its investigation into several concerning TikTok videos made toward Centennial Public Schools.
On April 13, the sheriff’s office was told by the school that multiple threatening videos toward staff and the school in general had surfaced on TikTok.
According to the sheriff’s office, the investigation revealed that two juveniles were involved in creating the videos.
Authorities said those juveniles have been contacted by investigators with the sheriff’s office and have been referred to the Seward County Attorney’s Office.
Although the TikTok account was banned, the investigation remains open. Because juveniles were involved, the sheriff’s office said no names will be released at this time.
The sheriff’s office confirmed that there is no active threat towards the school’s staff or students.
Authorities said they will continue to be a presence in and around the school.
