LFR extinguishes fire at north Lincoln Burger King

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln Fire and Rescue put out a fir at a Burger King in north Lincoln.

It happened at the location off of N. 11th St. and Cornhusker Highway around 5:45 a.m. on Tuesday.

LFR said the fire started in the fryer and then spread to the roof.

An LFR firetruck arrived quickly on the scene and put out the fire from the roof, according to LFR spokeswoman MJ Lierman.

Lierman said the Health Department is on the scene and power has been shut off to the building. She is unsure how long the business will be closed.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
