SIOUX COUNTY, Neb. (KLKN) — Firefighters are battling another wildfire in northwest Nebraska.

The Log Road Fire has burned nearly 900 acres so far in Sioux County, according to Watch Duty.

Per the Crawford Volunteer Fire Department, the blaze sparked just north of the South Fork Fire burn area.

Several volunteer fire departments are now in northwest Nebraska to help fight the flames. The Crawford fire department said an incident team from the state will be in the area on Tuesday along with heavy air tanker support.

This comes as crews just finished containing the South Fork Fire earlier this month. It burned near 40,000 acres in Sioux and Dawes Counties.
