SEVERE Storms Likely Wednesday Night
Strong storms capable of 60-75+ mph winds, quarter to ping pong ball size hail & minor flooding will move in this evening into early Thursday morning. The strongest storms look to form along & south of I-80. Watching areas near and south of the tri-cities for the strongest of storms tonight.

7-9pm: Isolated storms look to develop from Tekamah down to Arapahoe with a SE motion. Storms will likely have 60+ mph winds, half dollar HAIL & heavy rainfall.
9-11pm: This will likely start the SEVERE WX across SE Nebraska & areas south of I-80. 60-70+ mph winds, small hail & heavy rainfall.
Midnight-3am THUR: Areas south/east of the tri-cities will likely see the bulk of the rain/storms starting near 11pm through 4am THURS. Heavy rain, small hail & gusty winds will be the main concerns. Stay tuned for the latest updates!
Rainfall potential through Thursday morning: Best chance for 1-2″+ of rain will be across SW/SE Nebraska & areas south of North Platte.
High temperatures Wednesday will reach the 80s & 90s with the hottest temperatures farther south ahead of the cold front.
Wednesday evening through Thursday brings rain/storm chances along with “cooler” temperatures. This weekend starts our HOT and DRY stretch! The middle of next week, temperatures could reach the triple digits across the state. It has been 383 days since Lincoln has seen 100 degrees!
