GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KLKN) — Grand Island is hosting Independent U.S. Senate Candidate Dan Osborn and incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. Pete Ricketts at the Nebraska State Fair next month.

With only 90 days until the midterm election, the candidates continue to campaign. This will be the first debate the two have partaken in together. It will be a free, live show and also broadcasted live on News Channel Nebraska (NCN).

According to the Nebraska State Fair, NCN reporters will be on a panel with Flatwater Free Press and the Nebraska Examiner.

Osborn said he looks forward to the debate.

“I look forward to getting in front of Nebraska voters, and making it crystal clear that I’ll stand for the working class and take their concerns to Washington D.C.,” Dan Osborn said. “At the State Fair, Nebraskans will get to see the clear contrast between me and billionaire Pete Ricketts, and I’m excited to show them why my vision is right for this state.”
