Lincoln man arrested for threatening fiancé and her two kids with handgun
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Yesterday, Aug. 5, around 7 p.m., Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office (LSO) responded to a report of an intoxicated man with a handgun.
The report said the man was threatening his fiancé and her two adult children with a handgun. Nearby Lincoln Police Department officers also responded.
The man denied law enforcement commands repeatedly. Officers deployed a taser and the man was taken into custody.
Monte Harner, 58, was taken to the hospital and, after being cleared by medical staff, was lodged at Lancaster County Jail.
Harner was cited for three counts of terroristic threats and three counts of use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.
