Monday evening into the overnight brings severe weather W-E. Storms capable of 65 mph winds and small hail will be the threats.
7-11pm: A few storms form out west/SW, carrying winds up to 65+ mph, small hail & quick downbursts with an ESE motion.
Overnight *1-4am*: Areas in NE Nebraska will need to be watched due to a few strong storms capable of gusty winds and small hail.
Severe Weather Wednesday -Thursday Morning : August 12-13, 2026
Wednesday morning will bring rain/storms across eastern Nebraska. The main severe weather threat develops out west Wednesday evening! All hazards will be possible including, winds up to 65-70+ mph, large hail, brief tornado threat & heavy rainfall. Storms move ENE overnight into early Thursday morning.
Early Wednesday, showers & T-storms will occur across much of eastern Nebraska. Some gusty winds and heavy rain will be the main concerns.
Wednesday night brings storms W-E along with beneficial rainfall which could be heavy at times. More details to come as we near.
Rainfall potential through Thursday morning is looking nice! Much of the state could receive 0.40″-0.75″+. The bulk of the rain comes Wednesday into Thursday.
