Storms possible on and off Friday
Storms are possible on and off on Friday, but exactly where and when is still being determined. Temperatures, however, will be warm, but not overly hot for a while.
There is a level 1 “Marginal Risk” and a level 2 “Slight Risk” for severe weather Friday afternoon, evening, and into the overnight. Large hail and damaging wind are possible. Not everyone will see severe weather, but if you get under a severe storm, here’s what is possible:
HAIL:
Brown shaded area: Up to 1″ hail
Yellow shaded area: Up to golf ball sized hail
WIND:
Brown shaded area: Up to 60 mph
Yellow shaded area: Up to 70 mph
Above is what our StormCast weather model is saying for timing, duration, and location of the storm chances Friday.
High temperatures Friday will be in the 80s for the eastern half of the state, 90s to the west.
