Country icon Dolly Parton dies at 80
Dolly Parton has died at 80 years old.
This news comes after Parton canceled her planned Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace.
Bryan Seaver, Dolly Parton’s nephew, released a video announcement of her death.
“As her head of security for more than two decades, a role my father, Larry, held before me, I have imagined the heaviness of this moment but haven’t truly felt it until now,” Seaver said. “It is an honor, an honor that is mixed with pride and great sadness.”
The legendary country musician revealed health struggles recently after caring for her late husband, Carl Dean.
