27-year-old woman dies from camper fire, investigation ongoing

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Around 11 a.m. on Aug. 26, Lincoln Police Department (LPD) and Lincoln Fire and Rescue (LFR) responded to a camper fire on South 8th Street.

Today, LPD announced the passing of the 27-year-old female victim who was inside the camper. She passed away on the evening of Aug. 26.

According to LPD, an autopsy is scheduled for Friday.

The investigation is ongoing and is being led by LPD Criminal Investigations Unit and the LFR Fire Inspector.

This death is being investigated as a suspicious death according to LPD.
