A hot and humid week ahead
A couple of strong to severe storms are possible tonight and then again Tuesday night, but most of us will remain dry. It’s going to be hot this week, as well.
There is a level 1 “Marginal Risk” for severe storms Monday night into early Tuesday.
Storms will form along a line from SW to northeast Nebraska after midnight. Any storm that forms could get strong briefly with damaging wind the main concern.
Then we warm up on Tuesday. Lots of 90s for the eastern half of the state. 80s for the western half.
With dew points near 70 degrees, eastern Nebraska will be very close to 100 for the heat index Tuesday afternoon.
Tuesday night, we get another chance for severe storms, generally in central and northeast Nebraska.
The best chance for storms will come after sunset Tuesday night.
