Brett Lindstrom files to run for Nebraska governor under America First Party

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A new candidate is emerging in the race for governor in Nebraska.

Former state senator Brett Lindstrom filed to run as the gubernatorial candidate for the America First Party on Tuesday with the Secretary of State’s office.

If the filing is approved by Bob Evnen, Lindstrom would join Gov. Jim Pillen, democratic candidate Lynne Walz and Legal Marijuana Now candidate Rick Beard on the Nov. 3 ballot.

I am excited for the opportunity to join the America First Party and grateful to accept the party’s nomination for Governor,” Lindstrom said in a press release on Tuesday. “Nebraskans deserve another choice in this election.”

This Lindstrom announcement comes after a failed ballot initiative to be placed on the ballot earlier this year.

We have yet to receive words from the other gubernatorial candidates on this announcement.
