‘I think she’s fine’: Andi Jackson leaves with injury as Huskers sweep South Dakota State
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — No. 1 Nebraska volleyball rattled off it’s third-straight sweep to open the season on Wednesday, but the post-match press conference started a little tense.
“I think she’s fine,” said head coach Dani Busboom Kelly when asked about star middle blocker Andi Jackson.
Jackson, a senior, left the match with an apparent ankle injury during the third set of the win.
Busboom Kelly was a little more insightful in the post-match interview on the Huskers Radio Network. She said Jackson would not be using crutches and the injury appears to be “nothing serious.”
The top-ranked Huskers played in their first true road match of the season, defeating SDSU (25-18, 25-20, 25-15) in straight sets on Wednesday in Brookings, S.D.
Busboom Kelly did not say if Jackson would suit up for this weekend’s matches in Chicago. The Huskers will play DePaul on Friday and then Missouri on Sunday at Wrigley Field.
