Traffic rerouted after semi driver hits car, light poles, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln Police Department (LPD) officers and rescue personnel from Lincoln Fire and Rescue were dispatched on reports of a hit and run.
Officers and personnel arrived to South 84th Street and Hazelwood Drive. While they were enroute, they were informed that a semi-tractor trailer had hit several light poles and signals and has now come to a rest. Before coming to a stop, the semi had struck another vehicle.
The semi stopped west of the intersection of 84th and O streets.
According to LPD, the driver of the semi reportedly had a medical emergency.
LPD said traffic will be rerouted and slowed from the intersection of 84th and O streets for several hours. There are no life-threatening injuries, however any injuries are unknown at this time.
