UNL holds roundtable for farmers after Big Beautiful Bill changes
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — On Oct. 15, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) held a roundtable with farmers and agriculture experts after changes from the Big Beautiful Bill.
The Big Beautiful Bill requires farmers to choose a safety-net program.
UNL helped farmers and producers at the round table understand which program worked for them.
They have three coverage options, but UNL suggests Agricultural Risk Coverage (ARC) could be a stronger option for corn and soybean producers.
UNL experts say Price Loss Coverage (PLC) may be more beneficial for wheat.
Farmers must make their choice by Dec. 11.
