City of Wymore seeks residents’ input after last grocery store closes

WYMORE, Neb. (KLKN) — The City of Wymore has no grocery store.

Their last grocery store, Wymore Super Foods, is closing, causing the City to take action.

According to the City, a steering team has been made to discuss how to get food access to the residents of Wymore.

They created a survey that will allow residents to give their input. There is paper copies at their city office.

The survey offers a few options for food access including opening the store under new ownership, connecting with stores for deliveries and forming a community-owned cooperative.

They said they want not only Wymore residents but also Southern Gage County residents to fill the survey out.
